Task description

Oil well cementing is a complex process that Halliburton has improved over the years. The only thing Halliburton couldn’t influence in its projects was the external environment and weather conditions. Whenever temperatures dropped below -15 °C, Halliburton’s operations slowed down significantly. Mid-project disruption required Halliburton to find a solution that they could implement for all their future well drilling projects.

Oil well cementing is a short-term process, where each project lasts only two or three months at a time. Due to the short-term nature of its projects, Halliburton needed mobile units to shelter its equipment and stabilize its cementing processes, as well as for welding operations.

Angarstroy has developed seven identical hangars, 20 metres wide and 34 metres (680 sqm) long. Halliburton received all of its production capacity in 40-foot containers, ensuring uninterrupted delivery to the right place on a truck.

Each hangar was equipped with a fire alarm system to ensure the safety of Halliburton employees and equipment. Because temperature conditions had to remain stable throughout the life of the hangar, the hangars were integrated with diesel heating systems to maintain a constant ambient temperature.

Each hangar has been equipped with internal lighting and independent power supply systems to withstand any electrical faults that may occur.
